Principles of Design - Final Assignment ( Greeting Cards - Presentation )

For the last class of POD, we need to present and submit our final project which is the greeeting cards. Everyone set up at their own corners making it seems like an exhibition. Everyone explained the theme, things we learned through this assignment and things we like and hate while doing the assignment.

These will be my greeting cards:

Engagement

Wedding

Pregnancy

My theme is arts and crafts mainly based on sewing materials. For the engagement I did a love bird for the cover and placed a zip to seal the card. The inner part of the card is two movie tickets which is a gift given to the engaged couple.

For the wedding, I did a wedding dress for the cover page using lace, cloth and ribbons. I also did a hanger so it seems like the wedding dress is hanging on the page. For the inner part, I did two love shaped balloons using buttons and twines. I tied a knot using the balloon strings to congratulate the newlyweds.

For the pregnancy card, I made a pair of baby shoes using felts, lace and buttons for the envelope. I used a babies underwear/ diapers to make the body of the card and wrote a quote " Bun In The Oven " which means pregant .

 I was amazed by the works of my classmates continously. Here are some of their works.

I really enjoy doing this assignment as I really love to do crafts. Exploring and doing material shopping is what I love most when you can find new materials and make use of them, implying them to different media and create a new design. If anyone asked what I hate about this assignment i would say absolutely nothing.
